Entering from Calle Alcala you will find the lake near the Alfonso XII’s monument. The boats are in the corner of this popular spot.

The artificial lake was used by the King Felipe IV to reenact the Spanish armada navy battles, for the enjoyment of the royalty. The Monument to Alfonso XII that stands in the center of it deserves a special attention, there you can see, sitting down on its steps, some of the most beautiful sunsets in Madrid.

• Boat rental: Mon – Sund 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm – 5:30/8:30 pm (depending on the time of year) (until 5:15 in December).

Price per boat: Mon-Fri: 6 euros / Sat-Sun and public Hols: 8 euros
